I stared in wonder
At Neko
Japanese for cat

Last night Neko jumped on my bed
Nestling up to my body
Purring

We looked at each other
Eye to eye
Without blinking
We knew
We felt love for each other

I looked in wonder at purrfection
His furry marked design
Black and white
His softness and warmth

I watched his every move
Slinking around the bed
Until the purrfect spot

His happiness
His contentment
Just adoring his mistress
